Music Director and Organist. Ryan Fitch has been the director of music at Emmanuel since August 2013. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance and Music Education, and a minor in Theatre at Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, Nebraska. Fitch triple majored in piano, organ, and voice while at Midland and was an active singer and organist in the Omaha, Nebraska metro area. While attending the Hixon-Lied School of Performing Arts at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Fitch earned a Master of Music Degree in Vocal Performance with an emphasis in vocal pedagogy and sacred music. Fitch teaches K-12 instrumental and vocal music in Northern Virginia, is an active singer, and accompanist specializing in musical theatre.

Director of Spiritual Formation for Children and Youth. Toni Buranen has been on staff since April 2014. She holds an M.A. in Pastoral Ministry and Religious Education from Boston College and her career has focused on education, ministry, and libraries. Outside of her work, she loves time with her family and friends, reading good books, board games and movie nights, and opportunities to learn. It is a joy to be a part of the Emmanuel team.

Parish Administrator. Kelli Corts joined the Emmanuel staff in 2005 as the bookkeeper, and then became the parish administrator in 2007. Her greatest joy is spending time with her two adult children. Her son, Brandon, lives and works in Massachusetts, and her daughter, Leah, is a student at the University of Mary Washington. She is a native Montanan. Kelli enjoys getting to know the Emmanuel family, so please any time you are in the area stop into the church and say "hi."

Administrative Assistant. Karen O'Hern is a native Long Islander who has been a resident of
Alexandria since 1989. She graduated from Alfred University in western NY with a degree in Marketing and Business Economics. She enjoys outings with
husband Bob, children Andrew and Kelsey and friends that revolve around nature and good food. She is very happy to be part of the thriving and welcoming community at Emmanuel.

Sexton. Carlos Guzman was raised by his grandparents in El Salvador. Due to the internal guerrilla conflicts at that time his parents were forced to seek a better future for him and his family. He had the opportunity to reunite with his parents in 1996 in Long Island, New York, so he considers himself a Yankees fan! Carlos is the father of four beautiful boys, one who will begin college in the fall. He is very excited and proud of the opportunity to support him. Carlos also serves as sexton with St. Albans Episcopal Church.

Sunday Nursery Caregivers. Natalie DeLeon Santizo, Lilian Urrea, Jeni Rivera.
