Youth Spiritual Formation

We encourage youth who are 6th grade and older to attend and participate in the service. They are welcome to become readers, ushers, acolytes, coffee hosts – in short, any job you see being done, they are welcome to be a part.

Emmanuel's youth, grades 6 - 12, meet approximately twice a month on Sundays from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. as God & Donuts in the youth room off the parish hall stage. They meet in two groups, middle school and high school age, and work with experienced youth leaders. Our youth leaders encourage Emmanuel's youth to explore their own faith, spirituality, world view through Bible study, topical issues, social justice themes. Some time will also be spent planning service projects and retreats and they try to incorporate social activities as well. Emmanuel provides a calendar of Diocesan retreats, service projects, as well as opportunities for our youth to join forces with other local youth groups.
