Education for Newcomers

Inquiry Class

Loving the Questions, 9:15 a.m., Memorial Room

Not a lecture, each class is a joint conversation organized around any and all of the questions participants bring. Questions about worship, history, ethics, justice, prayer, community, theology, spirituality. Questions about anything. Just like your teacher told you, there are no stupid questions!

Designed to include the spiritually curious, newcomers, as well as, longtime members, the class is also preparation for adult confirmation / reception / reaffirmation. Come to any or all!

October 1 — Questions about Worship

October 8 — Questions about History and Theology

October 15 — Questions about Spirituality and Prayer

October 22 — Questions about Christian Life and Witness

October 29 — Questions about Anything Not Covered Above!

Rabbi by Appointment

If you are curious about what it means to be a Christian in the Episcopal tradition or have questions but no time in your busy schedule to attend a class, contact our Associate for Worship and Spiritual Formation, Rev. Joani Peacock (703-626-3893). Three one-on-one sessions meet you wherever you are spiritually and at a time and a place that works best. Our conversations can serve as an introduction to the faith, a personal tutorial in a subject of your choosing, or as preparation for confirmation.
