Thanksgiving Food Drive

Answering our call to serve our neighbor, EEC and EPS are excited to sponsor a joint Thanksgiving Food Drive to benefit ALIVE!’s food assistance programs. ALIVE! Food Bank serves approximately 20,000 Alexandrians each month through its programs, including about 5,000 families. We invite your food contributions from November 1st-22nd, which can be placed in the bins provided at both the Russell Road door, and in the church narthex.

*Donations must be personal sized (no bulk portions). No glass containers or expired food will be accepted.

* Items in highest demand include:

Canned fruits, vegetables, soup, and beans

Canned meat and fish (chili, chicken, tuna, salmon, beef ravioli)

Cereal (including oatmeal & single serve boxes)

Complete pancake mix (just add water) & syrup

Cooking oil (vegetable and canola)

Dried beans and lentils

Kid-friendly single-serve, microwave entrees (soup, ravioli, mac & cheese)

Pasta (spaghetti, other noodles, mac & cheese)

Peanut butter & jelly

Rice

Pasta sauce & canned tomatoes (sauce, diced, etc.)

Tuna & cracker snack packs

Ramen
