Emmanuel Episcopal Preschool (EPS) parents, faculty, and Board of Directors members went “Back to School” on Thursday, September 3. The classrooms, parish hall, and hallways all hummed with enthusiasm and excitement as the parents of our 60 students gathered to meet with teachers and get to know one another.

Interim Director Susan Jones welcomed everyone and shared her vision for a year of collaboration among parents, the church, and the preschool. Chuck offered a Back-to-School Prayer, and Board Co-Chair Stephanie Perkins welcomed parents back to the preschool—a place that holds special meaning for Stephanie, who was once a student here herself!

Almighty, living God, Creator of all things, great and small:

We thank You for this new preschool year and for every student in our school.

Bless our children as they step into their classrooms this year. Grant them curiosity as they play, courage when things feel new, and joy in every discovery.

Wrap Your loving arms around their teachers and caregivers, giving them an extra measure of patience, grace, gentle hands and humor

Help these little ones share their toys, be kind to their friends, and feel safe knowing that You walk beside them.

Most of all, Lord, may they have FUN!  Lots of fun!

Watch over their coming and going, today and always.

We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord.
