ALIVE! Furniture Delivery

On Saturday, March 22, Emmanuel will be assisting ALIVE! with delivering donated furniture to families in need in the Alexandria area. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a family's day-to-day life in just a few hours of time. Many ALIVE! clients are refugees, people leaving incarceration, or restarting their lives after experiencing homelessness.

Volunteers assist by riding along with ALIVE! coordinators and picking up furniture from donors' homes and delivering it to recipients the same day. Volunteers will ideally be able to lift 30 pounds, but if you would like to open doors, carry pillows, or help the ALIVE! driver navigate you can volunteer, too! Children and teens 12+ are welcome but must be supervised by an adult. Waiver forms are required for all volunteers. 

Volunteers will need to arrive at 801 South Payne Street at 8:00 am and will finish around 1:00 pm. Please reach out to Carolyn Jones if interested in volunteering.
