Shrine Mont Parish Retreat

We're going to "The Mountain" May 2-4! Our annual gathering is an opportunity for us to get away from the hustle and bustle, and to spend time with one another in nature.

All activities are optional; the weekend is whatever you want it to be, but we will have a few scheduled events you may choose to attend.

·      Friday we will hold a Compline Service with our guitar group.

·      Saturday Morning Prayer.

·      Saturday adult program: Kirk Gibson, Development Director at Shrine Mont, will lead us in discussion as we celebrate 100 years of Shrine Mont. Following the presentation and discussion there will be a short break and then afterwards, anyone wishing to do a walking tour of Shrine Mont will follow Kirk around the property as he points out highlights and shares some more history with us.

·      Saturday program for children: Parishioner Margaret Wohler will again lead the program teaching about red spotted newts including dipping with a net for them in the pond. Additionally teaching about the fossils at Shrine Mont and then go for a hike to the cross to find some to take home.

·      Plus, happy hour, bingo and bonfire.

·      Sunday we will worship in the open-air Chapel of the Transfiguration and enjoy Shrine Mont's infamous fried chicken lunch before departing.
