Welcome to the Table

Every Sunday, our weekly bulletin welcomes everyone to the God’s table; there is no minimum age, required classes, or test to pass. The time and age for children to begin actively receiving communion in worship is the parents' prerogative, and at whatever age that might be, understanding why we partake in this holy sacrament is important!

“Welcome to the Table” provides a brief introduction as to why we receive the Eucharist, and is open to all children ages 5-12, including those who already receive communion. Class, led by Rev. Jen, will take place on April 6 from 9:00 - 9:45 am in the Memorial Room. Each participant will receive a copy of “This Bread and This Cup: Episcopal Communion Instruction for Children,” and will be prayed for by name during Emmanuel’s 10:30 am Easter worship service.
